The Pass Alsace is a tourist passport which gives a free access to about fifty sites in Alsace. Since its creation it is marketed in the contactless physical form factor; the users can buy their pass in the local points of sale or order them on-line and receive them by post or remove them in the points of withdrawal. To access the different sites they present their Pass’Alsace which is checked on a tablet equipped with a contactless reader.
Since July 20th, 2018 Otipass proposes a full digital version of the Pass’Alsace based on a Qrcode which can be loaded on any mobile phone. This new version can be purchased on the online shop by specifying simply that the chosen support is the mobile phone. When the user wants to enter a partner site he presents his mobile phone in front of the camera of the tablet to check the validity of the Qrcode.
This new version of the Pass'Alsace presents numerous advantages for the user:
- There is no delivery costs.
- The digital Pass’Alsace is immediately available and usable after purchase; so a user travelling in Alsace can buy his Pass Alsace in mobility and use it without waiting.
- This new version is ecological because all the information about the Pass’Alsace scheme is available in a mobile application without internet connections - subject to having loaded it beforehand.
