The Lyon City Card uses our tourist pass platform

The Lyon City Card is a tourist passport valid for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days to freely visit 24 museums and their temporary exhibitions, enjoy cruises on the Saône River and access many activities such as a guided tour or a Guignol show. The Lyon City Card also allows unlimited access to the entire Lyon public transport network!
For the inhabitants of Lyon and its surroundings who wish to take advantage of cultural visits throughout the year, the card is also available in a 365-day formula, regularly enhanced with new offers and events of the moment. Since its launch, the Lyon City Card has been a great success with more than 320,000 cards sold.

Otipass was selected in October 2022 by the Lyon Tourist Office following a European call for tenders. The entire Otipass team worked in partnership with the Tourist Office's employees to ensure that the existing system would be taken over and that the transition would be carried out with a minimum of disruption for end users and service providers. It is done since March 6th. The tourist office and OTIPASS will now be able to work on the dematerialized version of the Lyon City Card.

For Philippe Rousselet, President and founder of OTIPASS: "We are very proud to have been chosen by the Lyon Tourist Office as the new technical operator of its CityPass. We are thus consolidating our position as leader in Europe and demonstrating that our platform meets the expectations of the largest tourist destinations. It is now present in 8 of the 9 Rugby World Cup destinations and we will be working in partnership with our customers to offer a multi-destination Pass that will facilitate the user's journey". The Rugby World Cup will be the highlight of autumn 2023 in several cities, including Lyon, which will host five matches in September and October and will be the base camp for the New Zealand team. The Lyon City Card should allow fans from all over the world to extend their discovery of Lyon beyond the matches.

Protection of personal data

The protection of personal data is a major issue in our business and we have decided, despite the cost involved, to take this subject very seriously and to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We have appointed and trained Carine Baumont as Data Protection Officer (DPO) and she has obtained the certification "To manage the compliance of personal data processing and protection methods in VSEs/SMEs".

We have integrated into our platform the functionalities required to comply with this regulation and we undertake to comply with it in our new contracts or by amendment to old ones.

A great fireworks in July

This month of July 2019 was rich in important events for OTIPASS.
We launched the Euskal Pass in the Basque Country and tourist passes in Nîmes and Périgueux , confirming our presence throughout the country.

We launched the Summer Pass for young people in the metropolis of Lille and the Maarsi Pass for young people in the Museums Pass Museums Museums, demonstrating once again that the platform concerns not only visitors to a territory but also its inhabitants.

We signed a contract with Innovation Media for a project this fall in the Italian Riviera, a new step in our international development that will continue and accelerate in the coming months.

And at last but not least, we managed the first digital Paris Museums Pass with more than 12,000 admissions on July 10 alone in the most beautiful cultural sites in Paris and taround : the Louvre, the Château de Versailles, the Pompidou Centre, the Musée d'Orsay...! and thus demonstrated that our platform could handle volumes ten times higher than those we processed before.

Avignon and Vaucluse choose OTIPASS

Initiated in October 2017, as part of a concerted digital strategy and in partnership with all Vaucluse tourism managers (EPCI and OTI), the project has since been led by the Vaucluse Provence Attractivité agency.

After a presentation of several projects, the idea of a Digital Pass was finally chosen. The project is co-piloted with Avignon Tourisme, which was looking for an alternative solution for its own Avignon Passion system, deployed over the past ten years in the  Avignon area. It became obvious that it is  natural to share the two projects rather than deploy two parallel solutions.

In January 2018, following a consultation conducted in collaboration with the Department's IT organizations, OTIPASS is the technical service provider selected to deploy the digital solution and manage the financial flows related to the sale of the Pass.
