Proud to be the technical operator of Helsinky City Pass

Otipass is honoured to announce the launch of the international Helsinki City Pass project in early summer 2023. The project is designed to make it easier to discover Finland's capital and the surrounding area thanks to a City Pass available for 3 durations: 24h, 48h and 72h.

Tourists wishing to purchase the pass can do so either via the online shop on the e-commerce site dedicated to the city pass and developed by Otipass https://citypass.fi/lang/en or via the shop integrated into the site's mobile application, also developed by Otipass.

The pass also adds the option of an m-ticket or dematerialised public transport ticket from the Finnish company HSL (Helsingin Seudun Liikenne or the Helsinki regional transport authority linking 9 municipalities attached to Helsinki). Thanks to HSL's API, Otipass has developed an interface that allows tourists not only to carry their e-ticket in the City Pass mobile application, but also to have their transport ticket for a better discovery of this beautiful destination.

Thanks to the Helsinky City Pass, tourists can visit the city's main museums free of charge, use public transport and also take Hop-on Hop-off tourist buses that drop them off at the main attractions, as well as a cruise linking several islands around Helsinki in the Baltic Sea. Here's a list of all the attractions: https://citypass.fi/list-of-services plus a host of extra discounts!

For Otipass, the experience of introducing this City Pass internationally in Finland has been rich in lessons. Customer satisfaction is proof of Otipass' ability to deliver a system completely in English, with training and support included. In Citytour, the company with which we signed the contract, we found responsive contacts such as Anna Permana, Marketing Manager, who were able to put in place the entire infrastructure and agreements with the various establishments forming part of the system. Otipass would also like to thank HSL for helping us certify our application, which includes Helsinki's public transport system.

Most establishments use the smartphone control application developed by Otipass and downloadable from the stores. All information on pass management and statistics is available in English in the back office.

Toulouse chooses OTIPASS to operate its new Citypass

The Toulouse tourist office has selected Otipass as its technical partner to launch the new version of its Tourism Pass, which has existed since 2016 and is now offered since the beginning of March in a dematerialized version in the form of a mobile application.

The Toulouse Tourism Pass is an ideal solution for visitors wishing to discover the Pink City and its many cultural sites, while benefiting from convenient access to public transport (metro, bus and streetcar). By using the mobile application, visitors can link their Pass to their smartphone, allowing them to easily use it while having access to a tourist guide of the city.

Holders of the Toulouse Tourism Pass can freely explore the sites and museums of the city center, ranging from natural history to contemporary art to ancient art. With the Toulouse Tourism Pass.

For Philippe Rousselet, President and founder of OTIPASS, "This new and prestigious reference has given us the opportunity to develop, with the Secutix company, a connector in the museums of the Pink City to further improve the user experience and facilitate the control and management of the Pass. In addition, Toulouse has joined the group of cities hosting the Rugby World Cup that are using the OTIPASS platform and we will be working together on a proposal for a multi-destination pass to accompany fans who will be able to follow their favorite team from one city to the next and visit all the tourist sites with a single pass".

For Benoit Auvray, Head of Research and Development at the Toulouse Metropole Attractiveness Agency, "the choice of Otipass is above all based on its ease of use, the competence of its teams and their responsiveness. This choice was also dictated by the desire to be able to join a network of numerous cities using the solution (in France and abroad) so as to be able to regularly exchange best practices and work collegially on future developments that meet the demands of our business and those of tourists.

What is the CMA standard?

The Multi-Service Citizen Application standard describes a technical framework that will revolutionise the management of services in the territories. It allows multiple services to be managed with a single medium (card/mobile) while remaining in compliance with the CNIL.

The France Multidestination Pass

Today 7 Rugby World Cup host cities are using the Otipass platform, and this allows us to create a technical platform for the promotion and sale of a Multidestination Pass.

Ideally the end user will be able to purchase Passes for all their favourite team destinations on this platform and use a single mobile application to visit all the corresponding sites. We are the only ones together to be able to offer this user journey and the Rugby World Cup is the first opportunity to test and validate the concept.

Our objective is to maintain this platform beyond the Rugby World Cup and for all users who have appreciated a Pass proposed by a destination using the OTIPASS platform and who will be able to use this Pass for another destination: to be visible on the networks it is always better to be in a community rather than alone.

Otipass & You - February 2023

Word from our CEO:

Dear present and future customers,

With a few days of delay, I would like to take this opportunity to renew my wishes for 2023, hoping that we will avoid a new health crisis and that you will all remain healthy. The year 2022 has shown very positive signs in the tourist pass market, with for many destinations the return has equivalent figures if not higher than those of 2019. Not all foreigners have yet returned but many French have remained in our beautiful country. We can think and even hope that behaviors will change sustainably and that many tourists will travel less and consume more local products, even if we quickly resume bad habits. OTIPASS has already taken these changes into account by adding the corresponding functionalities in our platform (product purchases, loyalty program, gift cards, mobility services, etc.) and we use them already in Drôme and Alsace.

2023 is the year of the Rugby World Cup in France just before the Olympic Games in 2024: these events will boost tourism activity in our country and they are extraordinary opportunities to reflect on how together to offer tourists simpler yet richer user routes, to retain them by accompanying them from destination to destination and to improve the visibility of each of you on the networks without going through intermediaries that are too expensive and that jeopardize our sovereignty.

More and more of you are using our services and we thank you for this: it is thanks to you that we can continue to invest and improve, and we hope to see you all at the users club days on 9 and 10 March.

Philippe Rousselet, Founding President
